FAQs

FAQs

Do I need an account to take a quiz? No. You can take every quiz anonymously. Saving a profile is optional and happens after a result.

Can I have a profile without email? Yes. Save My Profile gives you a 5-letter English-word PoliDNA ID (shown in capitals) and a password you choose or generate. There is no email on the account.

Is there password recovery? No. There is no reset link, SMS, or “forgot password” email. Store the password yourself.

Can I take a quiz without signing in? Yes. Anonymous is the default. You can attach a finished result later if you already have an ID, or save a new profile from the result page.

Does AI set my scores? No. Agreement-scale answers are scored on the server. AI may explain the pattern. Optional notes can only nudge listed axes within a small bound. Charts remain even when AI is off.

What do the Iran quizzes measure? They map views in Iranian political language, with their own axes and profiles. They are not a US left/right test. Older results stay on the version you sat.

What happens when a quiz is updated? New attempts use the published edition. Your old result stays on the version you took and is not recalculated.

How does sharing work? You get a random link. Share pages omit your free-text notes. There is no public member directory.

Do donations change scores? No. Support never changes maps, matches, AI availability, or quiz versions.

How does language work? Choose English or فارسی in the header. Persian uses right-to-left layout. Quiz wording, buttons, and result chrome should stay in the language you picked.

What do you store? Anonymous results use random IDs. Optional profiles store an ID, a password hash, and linked attempts. Share cards never include free-text. We do not sell “better” results.

What does “most closely match” mean? It is a similarity percentage to interpretive profiles written for that quiz version — not membership, diagnosis, or a prediction of how you vote.

Can I retake a quiz? Yes. A new attempt uses the current published edition. Previous attempts stay bound to the edition you took then.

What is a draft? An unfinished quiz you saved. Drafts need a PoliDNA ID first; the site will not silently create an empty profile.

Are mid-scale scores a failure? No. A score near 50 often means a mixed or independent pattern on that axis, or genuine middle ground — not automatically indecision.

Who can see my optional notes? You, on your own result. Share links and image cards do not include free-text.
